Detroit Bikes

Detroit Bikes makes their bikes right here in the USA, in Detroit, MI. In fact, they are one of the largest bicycle frame manufacturers in the United States, and probably the only ones making truly affordable bikes for everyone. Detroit's most well-known bike is probably the Sparrow, the ~$400 aluminum bike they first launched through Kickstarter. They have recently launched an electric version of the Sparrow, dubbed the eSparrow, at just below $1000. Detroit bikes, especially the Detroit A-type and Detroit B-Type (step-through) models,  are extremely popular with commuters.
